Enbio Distilled/Waste Water Bottle Kit – 2 Bottles and Water Quality Meter
Enbio Distilled/Waste Water Bottle Kit – 2 Bottles and Water Quality Meter
This kit includes two bottles and a digital water quality tester:
- Distilled Water Bottle – Pre-filled with freshly distilled water.
- Waste Water Bottle – Empty, ready for collection.
- Distilled Water Quality Tester – measures dissolved solids in water.
Both bottles are specifically designed to be compatible with the Enbio plug-and-hose system. Their compact shape makes them easy to fit in tight spaces, and each is clearly labelled to prevent cross-contamination.
The included digital water quality tester provides accurate and reliable measurements of total dissolved solids (TDS), including salts, minerals, metals, and other compounds. Using pure water in sterilizers and autoclaves is essential to prevent damage to internal components such as heating elements, steam generators, and tubing. Over time, scale buildup from impure water can reduce heating efficiency, cause clogs or corrosion, shorten the device’s lifespan, or even void the manufacturer’s warranty.
IIf the distilled water has been sitting in the Enbio jugs for an extended period (e.g., several days or weeks without use), it’s important to take a few steps before running the autoclave again to ensure water quality and prevent contamination or buildup.
If the autoclave won’t be used for more than a few days, it’s best to empty and rinse the bottles and leave them dry until next use.
Inspect the Water
Check for any cloudiness, debris, or signs of algae or bacterial growth. If the water appears anything less than crystal clear, discard it.
Test with a Water Quality Meter
Use your digital water quality meter to check the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). Ideal reading: Below 10 ppm (parts per million) for autoclave use. If TDS is higher, discard the water and replace with fresh distilled water.
